The goal for this piece was to create a sense of scale and an epic atmosphere. I wanted to create a light that acts as a natural path, guiding the viewer toward the cave and the figure and helping define the focal point. I started with a quick 3D blockout to figure out the space, then painted over it to refine the forms and shape the final mood.
